Companies look to cash in on Boston Tragedy

I recently read an article on The Boston Marathon Entitled “These Classy Defense Contractors Are Already Looking to Cash In on Boston” and had to wonder to myself how defense contractors could get away with such choices. Is it fair for companies to cash in on the fears of the American public? Is it necessary for companies to leverage the terrible events of Boston? “The Boston Marathon bombing has proven the need for real time video and data analysis from all types of cameras, including user mobile devices, surveillance cameras, and network footage,” Chris Carmichael CEO of the Ubiquity Broadcasting Corporation, says in a press release.. How can companies get away with this type of publicity and not face harsh criticism or are we living in a world where these types of blatant publicity nightmares are easily done? Is the American public that easy to fool? Talk about a need for #reputation management and #reputation repair. Instead of cashing in on this classless media ploy maybe Ubiquity Broadcasting corporation should be hiring http://repairbadreputation.com/ for their needs. I doubt as a company we would stoop so low though to take on a client like that.
